Agenda

성균관 대학교의 화학관 뒤쪽의 입구는 유동인구가 적고 시가지와 접해있지 않아 평소에 정적인 느낌을 즐길 수 있는 장소이다. 이러 장소에 게이트를 설치할 때, 기존의 느낌을 살리면서 일원화될 수 있는 동선을 다양화시켜 정적인 지루함을 재미로 승화하려고 노력하였다.

수목이 우거진 주변환경과 어우러질 수 있도록 떨어지는 나뭇잎이 그리는 부드러운 유선형의 곡선을 차용하여 디자인하였다. 길을 가운데 두고 양쪽으로 나뉘어진 매스가 단절되지 않도록 하나의 디자인 어휘를 사용하여 산책로와 함께 있는 건물이 메인 건물의 연장선이 되도록 노력하였다.

The entrance behind the chemistry hall of Sungkyunkwan University is a place where you can enjoy a static feeling because there is a small floating population and it is not in contact with the city. When installing gates in such a place, I tried to sublimate static boredom into fun by diversifying the routes that can be unified while keeping the existing feeling alive.

It was designed by borrowing a soft streamlined curve drawn by falling leaves so that it could blend in with the surrounding environment of the wooded area. We tried to make the building along with the promenade an extension of the main building by using one design vocabulary so that the mass divided into both sides with the road in the center is not cut off.
